My plan was to dribble 2-hours every morning, then put up 500–1,000 shots during mid-day. I knew if I had a ball in my hand every day that meant something, that I was working to getting better. That meant, picking up a basketball every day during that six-year period. Every action, of every day, for six years, day in and day out, was a result of me achieving my goal. In order to achieve it you have got to believe. ![]() I woke up and told myself one day I will play college basketball and furthermore get my one shining moment. I didn’t share my plan with anyone, but every day, pragmatically, before I even knew what the word was… So, by the age of 12, I laid out a blueprint that I would follow every day for the next 6-years. Memorized, I’m pretty sure at that moment I knew I wanted to play hoops. Sitting in my grandmother’s house I watch Dwayne “Pearl” Washington carve up opponents with just the most unbelievable handles I ever saw. I was about 10 and left school early because of an illness. The love of the game basketball started early with me, and I got hooked on March Madness. It was a lifelong dream of mine to make an appearance, preferably as a player, later as a coach and now I’ll even take a cameo as a fan.
